CTS now supports the distribution of mutual funds at UniCredit Bank
28. November 2017
UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia, a.s. significantly increased usage of the CTS system to support its investment services. CTS is now the primary system for investment services in the retail and private banking segment and the system for the administration of investment surveys. The bank mediates investments into a wide spectrum of mutual funds, its own issues, tailor-made certificates, or foreign securities. Also implemented within the CTS system is support for MiFID 2 requirements, as well as a new investment questionnaire or an automatic evaluation of an investment’s adequacy and suitability. Besides the bank’s headquarters, CTS also serves branches through its user-friendly web interface.
”The deployment of the CTS system is a major change for us, which will lead to an improvement in the provision of investment services to our clients, whilst meeting all regulatory rules,“ says Aleš Mátl, Head of Investments and Bancassurance at UniCredit Bank.
The CTS system has also been successfully deployed at UniCredit Bank’s Slovak branch. Here, CTS primarily covers the distribution of mutual funds. The deployment of other MiFID 2 requirements, such as the calculation of ex-ante and ex-post fees, correct product targeting, or integration into the private banking system, is planned by the end of this year.
